Up and ComingThere is an abundance of talent here on deviantART, and I love browsing our fashion photography galleries for emerging artists, at the forefront of the next wave of new talent.
There are always people who catch my eye, and I collect their names and keep an eye on them, because watching people make the most of their talent and fulfill their potential is a wonderful experience. I'm going to share some of the fresh talent I'm currently admiring and amazed by, so that when they're out shooting big campaigns and stories across the world, we can say I told you they were special!"

In my opinion, one of the greatest advantages to the New Submission Process, are the thumbnail examples and descriptions that appear when you're selecting a category. It's no secret that we have misplaced deviations throughout the galleries and it's probably the most complained about topic I deal with on a daily basis. My team and I have been working hard to improve the descriptions and thumbnail examples for all of the galleries, and I'm happy

Hot off the Press - Our Vector CV is in Print!In case you haven't heard already, `ChewedKandi - our dedicated and definitely awesome Vector Community Volunteer has been working hard with Adobe! The result? Her book has JUST been published!
But that's not all - the book involves 30 emerging artists within the Vector Community and most of them are from deviantART! The book explores their work, their inspirations and some tutorial projects that will help those looking to learn a bit more. Corrie Nielsen InterviewFascinated by form and design from young age as the daughter of a prominent American sculptor, London Fashion Week designer Corrie Nielsen obtained a First Class BA Honours degree in Fashion Design Womenswear from the world’s most famous fashion and art institute, Central Saint Martins. She worked in bespoke tailoring followed by a six- year stint at Vivienne Westwood before launching her eponymous label.
Corrie’s impressive background includes being chosen by John Galliano as the winner of the prestigious Fashion Fringe 2010 competition, establishing herself as the emerging designer to watch out for. Drawing inspiration from historical periods and combining her fascination of architectural forms and designs, she is lauded by the fashion press as a modern couturier with a truly unique aesthetic vision.

Darkroom Exposed: Digital OverlaysDarkroom Exposed is a series of articles highlighting talented deviants, noteworthy art and helpful information all about the Photography > Darkroom gallery on dA.
This issue features digital overlays, which are created by layering two or more images (including but not limited to texture and colour layers) to create a final image, mimicking the effect of exposing photographic paper to two or more negatives and/or filters during printing. This differs from photomanipulations, where elements of numerous images are separately extracted and combined to make a final image.
